Overview of Dashboards with Analytics

Analytics is where you build dashboards and reports on your cloud cost data. Use them to track spending trends, share cost breakdowns with stakeholders, and deliver recurring reports to your team automatically. Analytics provides 13 months of data: the most recent 12 months plus the current month.

CloudZero provides standard Dashboards out of the box. You can also create custom Dashboards to track the specific metrics and breakdowns your organization needs.

Types of Dashboards

  • Standard Dashboards: created by CloudZero, available to all users
  • Custom Dashboards: created by users in your organization

Each Dashboard has a visibility setting:

  • Public: visible to everyone in your organization
  • Private: visible only to the creator

Browse Dashboards

Navigate to Analytics to see all public Dashboards and any private Dashboards you have created. From this page you can:

  • Search for Dashboards across your organization or within a folder
  • Favorite a Dashboard by clicking the heart icon
  • Filter the list by All, Private, Favorites, or Recent
  • Sort by any column

Filter a Dashboard

Filters appear directly under the Dashboard title. Use them to narrow the data shown across all tiles without editing the Dashboard itself. For example, filter by date range, team, or service to focus on a specific subset of your costs. Select your filter values and reload the Dashboard to update the visualizations.

Schedule delivery

All user roles can schedule recurring delivery of Dashboards. You can deliver Dashboards via email, Webhook, Amazon S3, or SFTP on a set schedule.

  1. Open the Dashboard you want to schedule.
  2. Click the ... menu at the top right of the Dashboard and select Schedule Delivery.
  3. Configure the delivery schedule, destination, format, and any optional filters or advanced options.

For a full walkthrough of delivery options, destinations, and formats, see Scheduled Dashboard delivery.
