Time Series Comparison
You can now overlay a selected timeframe against a prior period directly in Explorer, comparing spend across windows and spotting shifts at a glance. The comparison panel stays open as you load options and apply selections, so you can keep adjusting settings without reopening it. Available in Labs.
Left Filter Panel
A left-hand filter panel in Explorer lets you filter by dimension faster without leaving your current view. Available in Labs.
CUR 2.0 Connection
You can now create a CUR 2.0 connection directly through the connections API, with creation available to Editor, Organizer, and SuperUser roles. Available in Private Preview.
Automatic Updates for the macOS Collector
The collector now updates itself automatically from a locked, cryptographically signed feed. Each release carries an EdDSA signature the collector verifies before installing, so you stay on the latest version without manual reinstalls and tampered packages are refused.
Snowflake Effective Rates
Snowflake costs now reflect your account's effective per-credit rates, so spend appears in actual dollars rather than raw credits.
Improved
- Explorer: A new Total Cost filter lets you isolate high- or low-cost rows instantly, without exporting the data or switching to Analytics.
- Explorer: A new Normalize monthly values toggle scales each month's spend to a standard 30-day basis at monthly granularity, so trend lines reflect real spend changes rather than differing month lengths.
- Explorer: A By Week option in the date-range picker adds Last 4 Weeks and Last 8 Weeks presets, covering complete Monday–Sunday weeks and switching the chart to weekly granularity.
- Explorer: The chart's catch-all series is now labeled "Other (X)," showing how many items fall outside the top results, clearer than the former "Remaining."
- Container Cost Analysis: Container usage can now be filtered by cloud provider, region, and cloud account, letting you isolate spend for a specific account or region.
Fixed
- Unit Costs: Telemetry from S3-based sources now forwards reliably after migration, restoring records for affected streams that had stopped reaching unit cost reporting.
- Budgets: You can again create a budget directly from the Budgets page, and every view now appears in the grid — including views without a budget and budgets whose view can no longer be resolved — restoring behavior from the classic interface that was missing in the new one.
- Azure Connection: Azure connections abandoned before the consent step can now be resumed, recreated, or deleted instead of remaining stuck and unremovable.
- Azure Connection: Azure connections abandoned before setup completes now appear in the connections list, where you can resume verification or delete them instead of leaving them stranded.
- Optimize: Searching recommendations now narrows results as you add terms and surfaces exact matches first, so multi-word searches no longer return unrelated results.
- Optimize: Starting a new session now shows the full recommendations list, instead of restoring a search term typed earlier or in another organization.
- Optimize: The Database Savings Plan recommendation description no longer lists Redshift as a covered service, which it does not cover, so the guidance now reflects what the savings plan actually applies to.
- Optimize: Azure storage tier recommendations no longer flag accounts already on the Cool tier or accounts whose capacity cannot be moved, so estimated savings reflect only the hot capacity that can actually be retiered.
- Resource Details: Daily resource data refresh now runs continuously through event-driven updates, eliminating the contention errors that previously left some organizations with stale resource data.
- Explorer: "Learn more" links in the info panels now open the specific documentation for each control, rather than a single generic overview page.
- Explorer: Selecting a category while creating an insight now keeps the panel open, so the insight can be completed and saved.
- Explorer: The cost table now sorts dimension values into a single alphabetical list regardless of capitalization, instead of splitting uppercase and lowercase values into separate blocks.
- Explorer: The cost table no longer shows an empty value filter on the Cost of Change and % of Change columns, where the filter had no meaningful options.
- Explorer: Filter values that legitimately end in a trailing space, such as some Azure account names, now match correctly instead of silently returning no results.
- Explorer: Month-ago, quarter-ago, and year-ago comparison presets now match the exact length of your current date range, so comparisons spanning months of different lengths are no longer distorted.
- Explorer: In Time Series Comparison, the chart tooltip title now matches the line you hover, clearly labeling whether the figures belong to the current period or the comparison period.
- Explorer: The change (delta) value in cost tables and summary callouts is now selectable, so you can copy it directly into Slack, reports, or spreadsheets.
- Explorer: A filter on a null dimension value now displays as "(none)" in the filter builder instead of an internal placeholder, with no change to the filter's results.
- Analytics: When a dashboard move fails because the destination folder already contains a dashboard with the same title, the error message now states that specific reason instead of a generic request error.
- Analytics: CloudZero-managed dashboards can now be moved into your personal Customized Dashboards folder, and the favorite heart in the dashboard list responds reliably to clicks.
- Kubernetes Agents: The controls for hiding and unhiding clusters now appear as intended for accounts where the capability is enabled.
- Telemetry Streams: The activity graph now labels each day with its actual ingestion date for viewers in negative-UTC time zones, rather than showing the previous day.
- Telemetry Streams: Each stream now shows its billing status, hourly activity history, most recent usage, and a records preview again, giving you a reliable at-a-glance view of stream health.
