Model Right Sizer

You can now right-size the model behind each Claude Code task instead of defaulting to a premium tier for safety margin. This open source agent evaluates what a task actually requires and routes it accordingly, with a blueprint pass before the work starts and a usage report after it finishes. Preview a routing map for a repository with model-right-sizer-dryrun before changing anything, or apply a standing right-sizing policy with model-right-sizer-install. Install it with /plugin marketplace add cloudzero/cloudzero-claude-marketplace, then /plugin install model-right-sizer@cloudzero.

Dashboard Alerts

You can now set thresholds directly on Analytics Dashboard tiles and get an email when a value crosses one, so budget burn, forecast variance, and unit economics changes reach you without anyone checking a dashboard. Use the alert bell on any tile to set a threshold, with multiple alerts per tile and fine-grained control over each. Alert emails link straight back to the dashboard in the CloudZero app instead of the raw Looker instance. Available now for all organizations via the Dashboard Alerts toggle (on by default); the bell appears after the next materialization run.

Explorer

Compare Periods is now generally available, letting you put any two time periods side by side to see exactly what changed and by how much. Aligned view shows side-by-side bars per interval (or the compared period as a line over stacked bars), while overlay view draws both periods as lines with the compared period dotted. The cost table adds Base Cost, Compared Cost, a color-coded Cost Difference, and % of Change columns. Quick picks cover common ranges, custom dates are supported, and comparison settings save to the URL so a shared link opens the same view.

Cost Analyst

The Cost Analyst plugin in the CloudZero marketplace for Claude Code has grown to 12 skills, bringing more cost work directly into your development workflow. New additions include cost projection for infrastructure-as-code, cost impact estimates for code diffs, and automated triage of top Optimize recommendations.

Improved

- Azure Connection: Microsoft Customer Agreement costs now include a per-period reconciling refund line, so your Azure spend in CloudZero matches the invoice net instead of the gross amount.

Views: Saved and named Explorer views now appear in the command palette, so you can jump straight to a view without opening Explorer first.
Explorer: Expand All in two-dimension group-by tables now appears only for the initial set of rows, keeping the table responsive after you load thousands more.
Optimize: A new recommendation flags S3 buckets accruing meaningful object tag storage charges, a per-tag hourly cost that never surfaces in a normal storage cost review.

Fixed

- Cloud Connections: A failed AnyCost connection setup now cleans itself up, so you no longer end up with a leftover connection you cannot delete.

Datadog Connection: Daily Datadog cost is now spread evenly across a finalized month when the source data covers only part of it, so early days are no longer inflated.
Optimize: Recommendation visibility now follows the service each recommendation actually applies to, so users with service-scoped access see only what belongs to them.
Analytics: Switching between light and dark mode while editing a dashboard no longer discards unsaved changes, since the toggle stays unavailable until you save or cancel.
Explorer: Rows opened with Expand All no longer stay stuck open after you load more results, so the cost table always returns to a readable state.
Analytics: Dashboard links that omit the view segment, including return links in alert emails, now open the dashboard with filters intact rather than an error page.
Explorer: Grouped cost rows whose spend dropped to $0 in the current period now appear again with their negative trend, so declines are no longer missing.
CloudZero MCP: Realized savings queries now resolve standard CloudZero and custom dimension names, so grouping and filtering savings by those dimensions works as expected.
AI Signals: Session identifiers from Claude Code and other OpenTelemetry sources are now captured, so AI spend rows carry session attribution instead of arriving empty.
Optimize: Kubernetes extended-support recommendations now name an upgrade target with real standard-support runway and reflect AWS's supported control-plane rollback, so the upgrade plan is safe to follow.
AI Signals: Usage of Claude's 1-million-token context models is now priced at the correct model rates rather than $0.00, so your AI spend totals are complete.
Container Costs: Container usage views filtered to specific namespaces or workloads now return those entities or a clear error, instead of silently widening the view to your whole organization.
Resource Details: Resources deleted in your cloud account now show as Removed with the date they disappeared, and resources not seen recently are flagged as stale with a last seen date, so the inventory reflects what still exists.
