Managed Scopes
Managed Scopes is now generally available. When creating an API key, select a use case (like Send AI Telemetry or Send Billing Data) instead of picking individual scopes. CloudZero automatically keeps the key's permissions current as new endpoints ship, so there are no manual updates or missed permissions.
ServiceNow Ticket Integration
ServiceNow Ticket Integration lets customers connect their ServiceNow instance to CloudZero and turn Optimize Recommendations or Anomalies into ServiceNow incidents, individually or in bulk, without leaving the product. Ticket status changes in ServiceNow sync back to CloudZero automatically. Contact your account manager to enable it in Labs.
Google Chat Notifications
Views can now deliver weekly and monthly cost trend digests, budget alerts, and anomaly notifications directly to a Google Chat space, alongside existing Slack and email delivery. Register a webhook under Settings > App Integrations, then attach it to any view from the create or edit flow. Requires a Google Workspace Business or Enterprise plan.
Improved
- Dynamic Filter Patterns: A single role can now extract cost-center values from SSO group names using a pattern and route users automatically, replacing the need for one role per group. Contact your account manager to enable it in Labs.
- Explorer: Period-over-period comparisons now offer three display modes (Aligned, Split, and Delta), support line and mixed chart types alongside bar, and use consistent Base Period and Compared Period column labels that are all sortable.
- Snowflake Connection: Large data exports are now automatically split into optimally sized files, preventing load delays for high-volume accounts.
- AWS Connection: A warning now appears before migrating to CUR 2.0, so you can confirm AWS has delivered your first CUR 2.0 file and avoid a temporary gap in current-month spend.
- Explorer: The dimension selector now supports removing an entire namespace at once, so you no longer need to deselect values one by one.
- Explorer: Searching a dimension dropdown now prioritizes individual dimension matches over category-header matches, so results surface the specific item instead of listing an entire group.
- Explorer: CSV exports now include the metric total and cost-per-unit columns when a unit cost is selected, matching what the results table displays.
- Telemetry Streams: The immutable stream name is now labeled "Stream Identifier" to distinguish it from Display Name, and you can edit a stream's display name directly from the table.
- CloudZero MCP: A new container usage tool lets MCP clients query Kubernetes CPU and memory utilization by cluster, namespace, or workload without switching to the CloudZero UI.
- Optimize: S3 recommendations now flag buckets incurring early deletion penalties from removing objects before a Glacier tier's minimum retention period, helping you spot lifecycle policies that cost more than they save.
- Model Right Sizer: A new
model-right-sizer-auditskill now audits model calls already running in a repository, not just new work, and opens a pull request with a right-sizing blueprint for them.
Fixed
- Views: Saving a view with Usage Family as the group-by dimension no longer returns an error, so views grouped by this billing dimension can be created and updated normally.
- Views: Editing the Global View no longer silently disables its email notifications, so trend digests and anomaly alerts continue reaching all opted-in organizers after a save.
- Views: Views with custom dimension filters once again return correct cost data in Explorer, resolving a brief regression introduced on August 20.
- Snowflake Data Sharing: Saving a data view that includes the Usage Family dimension no longer fails validation, so this billing dimension can now be used in data share configurations.
- Cloud Connections: When a third-party provider experiences an outage, the connection status now names the affected provider instead of incorrectly showing a generic CloudZero internal error.
- New Relic Connection: A connection with a missing subscription term start date no longer stalls during scheduled data collection, so cost data resumes flowing without manual intervention.
- Databricks Connection: Cost data arriving after a month closes is now captured for three days into the new month, so the final day's spend is no longer missed.
- Optimize: Filtering recommendations by team no longer surfaces unrelated teams that share some of the same recommendations, so group totals now reflect only the selected filter.
- Resource Details: The 'Last Seen' date now reflects the most recent observation of a resource so active resources no longer show an incorrect stale warning, the resource summary card displays the correct creation date for all AWS resource types, and the resource and recommendation flyouts show consistent details.
- Dimension Studio: Reordering rules for dimensions with more than 100 elements no longer shows a blank list and now supports up to 300 elements, so larger dimensions can be rearranged in place.
- Views: The Global View now shows the same notification mute controls as other views, so weekly and monthly trend digests can be silenced for the default scope.
- Explorer: When a unit metric does not support the active group-by dimension, the error now names the conflict and clears the selection instead of showing a generic retry message.
- Optimize: GCP multi-region bucket recommendations no longer overstate estimated savings when promotional credits are present, keeping the savings percentage within the bucket's actual cost.
- Anthropic Enterprise: Seats without an email address are no longer merged into a single shared resource, so per-seat costs are now attributed and visible individually.
- AI Signals: Caller metadata such as tags and session ID from LiteLLM integrations is captured again after an upstream schema change briefly interrupted it, restoring accurate request attribution.
- AWS Connection: A CUR 2.0 connection is now automatically retired when its underlying Resource Access Manager share becomes inactive, so unused connections no longer linger in your connection list.
