Your CostFormation dimensions now resolve directly from live AI telemetry in AI Signals, appearing in Overview and AI Explorer within minutes of publishing. Author a dimension rule that resolves from AI data, such as AI Project or Team, and it shows up automatically in the dimension picker with no extra setup or batch processing wait.
Any user with Explorer access can now open and use Views, scoped to the data their roles allow. Views that share no data with a user's access are hidden from the list, and opening a partially restricted View shows a notice that results are filtered to what that user can see. If a View's cost type isn't available to a user, CloudZero switches to one they can access and explains the substitution. Teams with scoped access can now rely on the same pre-built Views as everyone else instead of rebuilding Explorer queries.
You can now create a Jira ticket directly from an incident, see the linked ticket in the incident flyout, and unlink it. Status stays in sync both ways, so a change made in CloudZero or in Jira is reflected on the other side.
You can now add, edit, and delete comments on an incident, and they appear in its Activity tab alongside status changes and assignments, so the discussion and history stay in one place.
A new Optimize recommendation runs automatically for every organization using GCP Cloud Storage, flagging cross-location read charges on multi-region buckets and suggesting caching to reduce them.
Improved
- AI Signals: A new Clients tab on the Overview's Top Models card shows which AI tools, such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot, are driving usage alongside the models they call.- AI Signals: The Overview now includes a month-end forecast panel that projects where the current month's AI spend is heading. The panel shows booked cost versus projected cost, annualized run rate, and change versus last month, with a choice of month-to-date pace or 7-day run rate methods.- AI Signals: AI Explorer now shows Total Tokens by default, with optional input, output, cache read, and cache write columns plus Output % and Cached Input %, so you can see how each user or dimension consumes tokens and how well it reuses prompt context.- AI Signals: AI Explorer now offers daily as well as hourly granularity, defaulting to daily for ranges longer than 24 hours to keep trends readable.- AI Signals: Clicking a bar in an Overview chart now cross-filters the whole page to that model or dimension, matching what already happens when you click a row in the list cards.- Monitors: Each monitor now has an Activity tab that records who created it, every field edit with before and after values, pauses and resumes, and the exact recipients added or removed from its notification channels. Filter by change type to trace how a monitor's configuration evolved.- Monitors: Activity tab entries now show what changed on each edit with before and after values, such as "alert threshold 10% to 9%", instead of a generic "Monitor Updated" label.- Monitors: AI cost incident summaries now show the title of the Jira ticket behind the spend alongside its key, so you can understand the likely cause without opening Jira.- Monitors: System monitors (Account and Service) can now be paused and resumed the same way custom monitors can, so you can temporarily silence a built-in monitor without changing its configuration.- Monitors: The "New Monitor" button is now visible from the Incidents tab, so you can create a monitor without switching to the Monitors tab first.- Explorer: In the Date view, the dimension name column now stays pinned on the left when scrolling horizontally across period columns, so you can always identify which row you are reading.- Access Controls: Monitors permissions now appear in the role permissions drawer, so you can grant Monitor read and write access per role the same way you manage other capabilities.- Optimize: The Create Insight button now appears in the Insights table header at all times, not only on the empty state.- Cloud Connections: Connection health is now graded by connection type and reflects each connection's real state, so recommendation and customer-fed connections are assessed against the right criteria and failing connections surface instead of staying hidden.- Cloud Connections: Expected ingest rate and expected days with data can now be edited on every connection type from the connection's detail flyout, so you can tune data-health expectations for any connection.- Cloud Connections: The Add Connection page now lists the providers CloudZero supports and links to their setup guides, so you can see your options and reach setup steps without leaving the page.- Cloud Connections: The create form no longer shows the Initial Ingest Month field, which had no effect, so setup is simpler for every provider.- Cloud Connections: Date fields now display and accept dates in the date format you chose in Personal Settings.- macOS Collector: ChatGPT conversations in the browser are now captured, extending model usage visibility to the ChatGPT web app. Token usage and cost for this traffic are not yet available.- Model Right Sizer: Token budget recommendations now come from six rated signals, such as tool-call volume and how many files a change must keep consistent, run through a fixed formula, so the same task gets the same budget every time. A new budget guard skill checks real spend against that budget while a stage is running and flags it once spend crosses 70% of the ceiling. Fixed
- AI Signals: Filters and date range now carry over when you switch between the Overview and AI Explorer tabs instead of resetting.- AI Signals: Livestream totals for tokens, cache, estimated cost, and requests now match the values shown after a reload, instead of inflating as late data arrives.- Monitors: Choosing a monitor's Slack channel now requires only Monitor edit permission, so anyone who can edit a monitor can set where its alerts go.- Monitors: AI-generated incident analysis is now more accurate and more reliable. It no longer miscounts contributors or misattributes activity, so the root-cause summary reflects what actually drove the cost change, and it retries once after a transient timeout or query failure instead of staying failed.- Explorer: When an AI Dimensions filter is set to a specific value, the Usage and Pricing Unit columns are now hidden instead of showing cost figures in place of token counts.- Explorer: Exporting cost data from an Explorer link opened from an email notification now works.- Explorer: Favorites and history now record the cost type you are actually viewing, so reopening them no longer fails when your role does not allow Real Cost.- Access Controls: Assigning tenants to selected users from Organization Management now completes successfully instead of failing with an error.- Optimize: Switching organizations now clears applied Optimize filters, so the new organization opens to its full recommendations instead of an empty view.- Optimize: Creating an Insight from an Explorer link now preserves Is Null and Is Not Null filters, so the Insight's chart matches the filters you set.- Optimize: Estimated savings for the CloudWatch logs recommendation now reflect what retention, query, and log-level tuning can recover, rather than nearly the log group's entire spend.- Analytics: The visibility warning when moving a dashboard to a folder with different access is now readable in light mode.- Azure Connection: Late-arriving invoice IDs from Microsoft now reach your cost data without a manual re-pull, since the previous month is refreshed for longer after it closes.- Azure Connection: Enterprise Agreement balance adjustments are no longer dropped when a temporary Azure error occurs, so EA credits stay reflected in your cost data.- Azure Connection: Historical data pulls that hit a temporary error now retry and report a clear failure instead of completing with a missing month.- Azure Connection: Connection status now reflects the outcome of the most recent ingest, so a broken export or a throttled connection no longer shows as healthy or stays stuck on pending.- Cloud Connections: Twilio connections using a Restricted API key now ingest cost data normally, matching the setup described in our documentation.- GitHub Connection: Pooled Copilot AI-credit cost is now allocated to users by how much they used rather than when, so per-user Copilot cost reflects actual consumption.- Budgets: Deselecting a budget's Forecast or Budget target while editing now removes that target and its alerts, so you no longer receive duplicate alerts for one event.- CloudZero MCP: Container usage queries on large organizations no longer fail on oversized responses, and now return the highest-usage workloads first with a clear note when the list is truncated.- macOS Collector: Signed-in users with no usage data yet now see a clear empty state instead of a sign-in prompt.
