Amazon Bedrock spend by IAM principal, with CUR 2.0 support

CloudZero can now ingest the AWS Cost and Usage Report 2.0 through manual setup. Because CUR 2.0 carries IAM principal (caller identity) data, Amazon Bedrock spend can finally be attributed to the role that invoked it and charged back accordingly. Available in private preview; contact CloudZero to enable it for an organization.

Break out Claude Code spend in Anthropic platform billing

On Anthropic platform (API) billing, Claude Code usage is commingled with the rest of your Anthropic spend. CloudZero now separates the Claude Code portion from the remainder, so you can attribute and charge back coding-tool costs while your billed total stays exact. This applies to Anthropic platform spend specifically — Anthropic Enterprise agreements bill it separately.

Explorer

Filters and groupings can now move into a dedicated left side panel, giving the filter and Group by controls their own labeled space that scales cleanly as filters stack up. The floating top-nav filter bar remains the default; once you switch to the side panel, CloudZero keeps your preference across sessions. Generally available to all customers.

Improved
  • Explorer: The Time Series Comparison view now labels the two time ranges consistently as Selected Period and Comparison Period everywhere, making side-by-side results easier to read and interpret. Available to customers opted in via Labs.
  • Explorer: The two charts in the Time Series Comparison view now share a single Y-axis scale, so bars of equal height represent equal spend and relative comparisons can be trusted at a glance. Available to customers opted in via Labs.
  • Explorer: Kubernetes CPU and memory efficiency metrics now appear when a Kubernetes dimension is the second group-by, not only the first, giving you efficiency context on nested breakdowns.
  • Explorer: An Expand All button next to Export lets you reveal every second-dimension breakdown in a two-level group-by at once, as an alternative to expanding and collapsing rows individually.
  • Explorer: Exports of a two-dimension group-by grouped by Day, Week, or Month now include both dimensions; previously the second dimension was dropped from the file.
  • Explorer and Optimize: Table column filtering is now available as a CZ Labs opt-in on the Explorer Total Cost and Optimize Insights tables, letting you try the in-development filtering experience before it is generally available.
  • Notifications: You're now notified when a billing data refresh starts, completes, or fails, with each event shown as a time-stamped card in the notifications bell, so you can review past refreshes instead of relying on a transient toast and always know your cost data is updating. Contact your account team to have this enabled.
  • Optimize: A new recommendation identifies S3 buckets with high SSE-KMS request costs and suggests enabling S3 Bucket Keys to cut those request charges by up to 99% with no security or compliance change.
Fixed
  • Views: Saved views that stored a non-text tag filter value no longer cause the views list to fail to load, so all of your saved views appear reliably.
  • Container cost analysis: Oracle OKE clusters in regions identified by an airport code now resolve to a single cluster, so their cost and metadata are no longer split across duplicate rows.
  • Dimension Studio: A custom dimension using a Split transform with a maximum-split limit now loads correctly after it is saved, so the dimension keeps working as configured.
  • GCP Connection: GKE Autopilot pod spend is now attributed to its own namespace and workload labels instead of being grouped under GKE control plane costs, so Kubernetes cost allocation is accurate.
  • Snowflake Connection: When a Snowflake key provider blocks public network access, the connection now reports a clear, fixable error instead of a generic failure, so you can resolve it without contacting support.
  • Access Controls: Cost-type visibility now combines across a user's roles as a union, so users with multiple roles see every cost type any of their roles grant.
  • Explorer: Drilling into a child row within a multi-parent group-by now narrows results to the clicked parent, so costs from other selected parents no longer appear.
  • Dimension Studio: Selecting an autocomplete suggestion after typing a partial source path now replaces the typed text instead of duplicating it, so you no longer have to delete the repeated characters.
  • Explorer: Grouping by Resource Summary now loads correctly for roles without usage data access, where it previously failed the entire results table with an error.
  • CloudZero MCP: Timestamp-based dimensions such as latest and earliest resource date and tag date are now queryable, returning clean ISO date values instead of failing with a serialization error.
  • Dimension Studio: A build that hits a duplicate dimension name no longer leaves behind an empty failed entry in your dimension list, keeping the list accurate.
  • Explorer: AI cost totals are now complete for hours that received usage across multiple processing windows, correcting an undercount that could drop a portion of token-based spend.
  • Resource Details: The "Why am I not seeing resource details?" guidance now appears only when metadata is genuinely unavailable, so it no longer shows alongside a populated panel.
  • Organization Settings: Invitations for a tenant organization to join a partner's organization group again appear as an in-app notification with inline Accept and Decline actions, so invited organizations no longer miss them.
